WHY THIS TEAM NEVER WINS
George Cumming

The World Cup Finals referees appear to be the laughing stock, if not the punching bags.
At least six major blunders have marred the first three weeks of the tournament.
But Fifa refereeing boss George Cumming has ruled out any conspiracy or corruption theories against the men in black.
He says the mistake ratio of 1 to 700 (following 4,200 decisions in 60 matches) is generally a very low statistic.
But tough action has been taken behind the scene against the errant referees.
